Bernard A. Krooks is a founding partner of the New York-based law firm Littman Krooks LLP and Chair of its Elder Law and Special Needs Department.  He is a nationally-recognized expert in all aspects of elder law and special needs planning.  Mr. Krooks is a frequent lecturer and author.  He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Newsweek and Forbes (among other publications) and has appeared on Good Morning America Now, National Public Radio, CNN, PBS and NBC (among other shows).  Mr. Krooks is a member of the NAEPC Estate Planning Hall of Fame, past President the Special Needs Alliance, past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and past Chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the New York State Bar Association.  He is also past President of the Estate Planning Council of Westchester, the Group Chair of the Elder Law & Special Needs Planning Group of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law (RPTE) Section of the American Bar Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and Chair of its Elder Law Committee.  Mr. Krooks is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP).  He received his BS.from S.U.N.Y. at Albany, JD from Hofstra Uniersity School of Law and LLM from New York University.

 

*Each member is entitled to bring one (1) dinner guest for the 2017-2018 season free of charge.  Additional guests may attend for a $65 fee.  An individual may attend as a guest no more than two (2) times during the 2017-18 season.
