DESCRIPTION:\nDear GBREPC Board Members,\n \nThank you for your valuable contributions at the board meeting earlier this week and thanks for your patience as we work out the technical glitches of getting everyone together remotely!\n \nThe Finance Committee has met and provided a recommendation in regards to a proposed membership fee for this season given we will be meeting remotely for part or perhaps all of the year.  The committee considered the need to be flexible given the COVID-19 situation and understands that some members may be sensitive to the same membership fee as in previous years, especially if we are unable to resume in-person events.  At the same time, we are committed to providing quality educational and networking opportunities to our members, even if they are to be planned in remote settings.  In light of these thoughts, and given we have planned for a full schedule of speakers and will offer continuing education and other valued added learning and networking opportunities, the committee proposes the following dues recommendation. \n \nPlease review this plan and reply that you agree or disagree with this proposal on or before 6:00 pm, Monday, August 10, 2020.\n \nAnnual membership fee will be $150.00 per person for the season\n Returning members will receive a $50.00 credit toward their membership dues as a result of cancelled events last spring.\n \n(This was approved by last year’s board.)\n \nIn summary, new members will be charged $150.00 and returning members will pay $100.00 for the season.\n Dues will cover fixed expenses, including administrative fees, speaker fees for virtual presentations, scheduled meetings and virtual presentations and technology expenses.\n \n\n Should the board decide to hold special events that raise the council’s expenses, such as a virtual wine-tasting, holiday mixer, or year-end event, the board will vote to cover the expense of the event, invite a sponsor to cover the expenses, or charge an a la carte fee to attendees to cover their expense for that event. The full board will vote on the preferred fee structure for each special event.\n \nThank you in advance for your thoughtful reply.\n \nAll the best,\n \nKris Gregg\n \nKristina Gregg, CFRE\n \nPresident, Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council\n
