2025-26 President's Letter
Greetings GBREPC Members:
Welcome to the 2025/2026 Council year! I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer and gearing up for what will be an exceptional year for our Council. I have served in many Industry roles in my career, including serving as President of the Estate Planning Council of New York City many years ago. It is an honor & privilege to serve this coming year as President of your Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council (GBREPC). In my career I have never seen a more dedicated Board than those that serve together with me to deliver an outstanding program for you & together with our administrator Jaci Farina we're highly motivated to deliver great value to you.
Before I go any further I’d like to take a moment to commend Bill Miller now our Immediate Past President. He demonstrated leadership skills that were quite exceptional & I will work to try to emulate him. In addition, our Past Presidents and Board have been so instrumental in allowing us to offer such great value to you, our members.
As I embark on this year, I come with 3 primary objectives that will guide me each and every day during my Presidency: 1.) Help create strong succession planning for Board involvement to help maintain the outstanding level of deliverables, 2.) Provide more value to members and Sponsors, and 3.) Help leave the Council stronger Financially at the end of my watch. Again, all decision made this year will focus on these 3 objectives.
In setting the stage for the coming season of the GBREPC, I would like to remind all of our members that the mission of the GBREPC, in essence, is twofold: 1.) to create opportunities for members to collaborate and network with other members, and 2.) to provide information and resources that will help our members best serve their clients.
Our Members will find tremendous value from our vast array of Membership benefits, some of which include:
- Nationally recognized speakers presenting on topics that affect all of our practices and clients.
- Excellent networking with members of our Council at every dinner meeting and social event (Kick-Off Event, Holiday Event, and Year-End Event to name a few). We will also be offering new networking breakfast and happy hour events to help foster relationships between members.
- Opportunity to invite professional colleagues as a guest to one of our dinner meetings. We will again allow members to invite one guest to our opening October 14, 2025 dinner meeting on a complimentary basis (Only requirement is they need to be a person who is eligible for membership).
- Biography, headshot, and listing by name and by discipline category in our GBREPC Digital Member Directory located on our website at www.bocaratonepc.org. I encourage all members to participate in this opportunity to “personalize” your profile for others to see.
- Ability to present to our Council through our “Member Speaker Forum”. Due to such demand, we are expanding this opportunity to 3 of the 4 dinner events in November, February and April.
- Access to many benefits and resources provided by the National Association of Estate Planning Councils (NAEPC), including access to the NAEPC Journal of Estate & Tax Planning, access to a vast array of substantive and relevant webinars and the ability to obtain the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designation. The full list of benefits and resources provided by the NAEPC is available at www.naepc.org.

Our Board will do its best to make sure that your membership in the GBREPC will be one of the best investments you will make this year.
Feel free to reach out to me directly or any of the Council Board Members to give us your input on how we can better serve your needs. We welcome your feedback & you can reach me at Mickey@rfsny.com. My office # is 561-883-5569 & my cell is 516-680-7675.
The dues that you pay are probably the best deal in town in Boca Raton for all you get in return.
P.S. The best way to get involved is to volunteer to serve on a committee, which is exactly what I did myself initially. If you have interest, please reach out to me so we can then help you determine the best committee for you.
All the best,
Mickey
